Learn to Speak ___ for Free!

Mango is the world's first language learning system being offered free to everyone. Here's a list of the courses offered: Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, French, and Greek. They also have English for Spanish, and English for Polish.

After taking the site for a test drive, I am really overwhelmed and impressed. The focus is on speaking and understanding the language (the most important parts). While, your not going to become fluent after completion of all 100 lessons, your going to be able to get around.

Of course learning a language takes work and dedication, but mango makes the learning just a little more accessible.

California Disney

The true Disney experience just wouldn't be complete without a few of the gems out West. If you don't ever plan on making the pilgrimage then at least hit up these vids.

Sorry, no smells or wind in your face for Soaring over California (the smells don't work some of the time on the real ride anyway). My favorite: The Grizzly Rapids.

Download free Bare Naked Ladies

Need more tunes? The Vancouver Sun and Nettwerk music group have teamed up to help feed your ipod. As of right now you can download the album Seriously Westcoast vol.1 for free.

The music is pretty good, there are a couple from good ole BNL, a live Sarah McLachlan, and Fa Fa Fa by Datarock. Another gem is Ocean Size Love by Leigh Nash (the lead vocalist from Sixpence n.t.r.).

How about a direct link to the zip..

"Write something else. Thanks! Best Blog..."

In honor of yesterday's comment, "Write something else. Thanks! Best Blog...". We've decided to pull our very hard working reporter back from his search for the rumored eighth horcrux (yes, Ms. Rowling may have missed one). Apparently, our reporter was under the impression that lengthy mediation on the black sand beaches of Guatemala would Feng Shui him in the right direction.

When confronted our reporter replied back in a very cryptic message, "Q: Do you need a compass to practice feng shui? A: Yes. Just like a hair stylist needs a pair of scissors and a doctor needs a stethoscope." We are now accepting applications... in the mean time. We suggest you pickup a copy of "You Are Special: Words of Wisdom for All Ages from a Beloved Neighbor" by Fred Rogers. You don't have to take our word for it, here's a comment from an energetic reader on amazon.com

"I began reading while curled in a giant easy chair that pocketed my body; the words of Mr. Rogers and the sensation of being cradled in a secure place returned me to days when I felt completely...satisfied."
Man, forget college football, all you really need is good ol' Mr. Rogers and a giant easy chair. And, while your waiting for your copy of "You Are Special: I have no idea who you are but, I love you Neighbor". Check my main man out, in the flesh:
"Heh, that's really nice" - Mr. Rogers
